Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Paced ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Wildfire Social Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in England and Wales.

2. The Service

Paced is an adaptive running coach that generates personalised training plans based on your fitness, recovery, and nutrition data. The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Strava, WHOOP, Oura Ring) to retrieve your data and uses AI to provide coaching recommendations.

3. Not medical advice

Paced is a training tool, not a medical service. The coaching recommendations, training plans, and nutrition suggestions provided by Paced are generated by AI algorithms and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting or modifying any exercise or nutrition programme, especially if you have a pre-existing health condition, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information during onboarding. Inaccurate data (e.g., overstated fitness levels) may lead to inappropriate training recommendations.
  • You may connect and disconnect third-party platforms at any time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our training algorithms.
  • Share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or access the Service.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

6. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paced offers a free tier with limited features and paid subscription tiers.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. Prices are displayed at the point of purchase and may change with 30 days' notice.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
  • We may offer a free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first billing period.

7. Third-party integrations

The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Strava, WHOOP, Oura Ring, and others). Your use of these platforms is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services. If a third-party platform changes its API or terms, some features of Paced may be affected.

8. AI-generated content

Paced uses artificial intelligence to generate training plans, coaching advice, and nutrition suggestions. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific circumstances. You should always apply your own judgement and consult a professional where appropriate. We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of any AI-generated recommendation.

9. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and algorithms within Paced are the property of Wildfire Social Ltd. Your training data remains yours. You grant us a licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paced and Wildfire Social Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, loss of data, or loss of profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Assumption of risk

Running and exercise carry inherent risks including injury, illness, and in rare cases death. By using Paced, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you participate in any training programme at your own risk. You should stop exercising immediately if you feel unwell, experience pain, or notice any adverse symptoms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
